EtherNet/IP Foundations
The EtherNet/IP Foundations class covers the design and troubleshooting of an EtherNet/IP network in a Logix based industrial automation control system including; fundamentals of EtherNet, design of media and infrastructure, capacity calculations and configuration of Stratix industrial switches. The student will perform labs in Stratix configuration, network troubleshooting, and DHCP using a Stratix 5700 switch. We will discuss and use techniques for segmenting and troubleshooting an EtherNet/IP network. No experience with EtherNet/IP networking is expected, but some familiarity with Windows, RSLogix 5000 and RSLinx is necessary. All EtherNet/IP Intro material is included in the EtherNet/IP Foundations class. Lunch provided.
