EtherNet/IP Advanced

The EtherNet/IP Advanced class reviews the fundamentals of EtherNet and the design and troubleshooting of an industrial automation EtherNet/IP network in a Logix based control system with Stratix switches. The student will perform labs in troubleshooting with Wireshark, configuring and monitoring Device Level Ring, configuring VLAN’s, VLAN trunking, inter-VLAN routing, REP ring, and Network Address Translation (NAT). Attendance in EtherNet/IP Foundations or equivalent is a prerequisite for this Advanced class.

Hands-On Practice

Students will use a laptop to configure a Stratix 5700 switch, Logix controller, and I/O. Approximately 1/2 of the class is lab.

Student Materials

All materials needed for this class will be supplied by Werner Electric for both in-person classes and Online Live classes. Training workstation: laptop, Stratix 5700, Point I/O, CompactLogix, PowerFlex 525. Student Manual.
