Logix Alternate Programming Language

This class covers the fundamentals you need to successfully create troubleshoot and edit Function Block Diagrams (FBD), Sequential Function Charts (SFC) and Structured Text (ST) in Logix 5000 controllers. The class will include labs that focus on I/O tags, Tasks/Programs/Routines, basic logic using FBD, SFC and ST, monitoring and editing them in Studio 5000. The class will explore an example of each programming language, the student will then complete an exercise to build their own. Familiarity with Logix 5000 before taking this class is preferred.

Hands-On Practice


Students will use a laptop to configure a Logix controller with a ST, FBD and SFC logix. Approximately 1/2 of the class is lab.
