Students will use a laptop to configure PowerFlex Drives. The entire class is conducted as a hands-on lab .


Student Materials


All materials needed for this class will be supplied by Werner Electric. Training workstation: laptop, PowerFlex 755TS, and student manual.

  • Lab 1: Getting to Know PowerFlex 755TS and CCW (20 min)
  • Lab 2: Starting Up the PowerFlex 755TS Using CCW (30 min)
  • Lab 3: Drive Integration into Logix Designer (25 min)
  • Lab 4: PowerFlex 755TS Predictive Maintenance (35 min)
  • Lab 5: Automatic Device Configuration (ADC) with the PowerFlex 755TS (15 min)


Drives Advanced Lab:

  • Lab 1: Surface Mounted Permanent Magnet motor Flux Vector drive startup (25 min)
  • Lab 2: Configure point-to-point Positioning (PTP) (30 min)
  • Lab 3: Reference Motion Planner (PTP version) (20 min)
  • Lab 4: Tuningless Features: Load Observer and Tracking Notch Filters (15 min)
  • Lab 5: Integrated Motion (request lab assistant to switch modes) (30 min)
