Introduction to Controls This AIA certified course provides an introduction to energy code legislation, controls terminology and methodologies. Also get a brief look at how controls systems work and the various technologies being offered.

Controls systems are used for not only controlling lighting but also building systems, shade control, occupancy and asset tracking and security. User satisfaction of buildings is higher in applications with controls versus uncontrolled.
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Improve Energy Efficiency with Addressable Lighting Control Systems and DALI Today's LEDs can do everything conventional light sources did in the past and more. This AIA certified course explores the ways in which an addressable lighting control system and a digital addressable lighting interface (DALI) system can improve the overall energy efficiency of a lighting system. People living and working in building environments report higher ratings of lighting quality, overall environmental satisfaction, and self-rated productivity. The differences between designing and wiring traditional relay or 0-10V lighting control systems and addressable lighting control systems, will also be reviewed. 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Applying Wireless Technologies to Connected Lighting as a Catalyst for the Internet of Things (IoT) This course explores how wireless controls reduce energy waste and can provide a stepping stone into the connected world of the Internet of Things (IoT). We will discuss why wireless is now seen as a leading solution for connected lighting applications. Learn how commonly used wireless control technologies work in order to understand proper application of cyber security and design. 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
