Logix Alternate Programming Language

This class covers the fundamentals needed to successfully create Function Block Diagrams (FBD), Sequential Function Charts (SFC) and Structured Text (ST) in Logix 5000 controllers. The class will include labs focusing on I/O tags, Tasks/Programs/Routines, basic logic using FBD, SFC and ST, and monitoring and editing them in Studio 5000.

Who Should Attend

Those that wish to learn the basics of the editors for Structured Text, Function Block Diagram and Sequential Function Chart in a Logix controller.

Hands-On Practice

Students will use a laptop to configure a Logix controller with a ST, FBD and SFC logix. Approximately 1/2 of the class is lab.

Training workstation: laptop, ControlLogix controller with I/O. Student Manual.
