Logix Foundations

The Logix Foundations class reviews and expands upon everything in the Intro class. It also covers logic topics such as timers, counters, one-shots; as well as logic documentation, file handling, connectivity (RSLinx), basics of networking, tags and aliases, logic editing, etc. In addition, tools such as BOOTP and ControlFlash (firmware flashing) will be covered. This class is meant to give a broad understanding of the Logix platform and Studio 5000 programming software. No previous Logix experience required. All Logix Intro material is included in the Logix Foundations class.

Students will use a laptop to configure a Logix controller and I/O. Approximately 1/2 of the class is lab.

All materials needed for this class will be supplied by Werner Electric for both in-person classes and Online Live classes. Training workstation: laptop, ControlLogix controller with I/O. Student Manual.
