Recycling of Hazardous Materials
Werner Electric partners with Lamp Recyclers to provide recycling services for hazardous materials such as lamps and computer equipment. |
Why Recycle?
According to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, a variety of lamps and bulbs contain toxic heavy metals, like lead and mercury, which can harm the environment if improperly disposed of. Recycling intact lamps is the most cost-effective way to manage mercury-containing lamps as a hazardous waste. It also reduces the risk of mercury vapor release, which can contaminate lakes and streams. |
